Dear Friends, the Church in Wales guidance following the Government announcement about hymn singing has now been released.

Unfortunately, the government guidance says that hymn singing while community transmission is low is acceptable, i.e. under 50 cases per 100,000.

The Church in Wales has decided to use local council figures rather than national figures for this. In Denbighshire this is currently at just over 80 per 100,000 and so we may not sing until this drops back down below 50 per 100,000. So encourage everyone to follow the rules so we can reduce the transmission rates if they want to sing again!
