Dear Friends, please find attached this week’s newsletter for Sunday 24th July, with services for the coming week.
It has been a busy few days as the summer term comes to an end. We have had leavers services for Year 6 as they prepare to move to High School; the end of term concert of the Song School and the Dyffryn Clwyd Singers on Tuesday evening, raising money for a musical scholarship; and the start of the summer book club.
As schools’ break-up, we move into the holiday season for events and there is plenty going on. In addition to what is on the newsletter, look out for the following later this week:-
Friday 22nd July 7.00pm we have Teens Go Wild in Llanbedr church yard – around the fire pit. Chill-out time at the end of the school year, make new friends learn about church.
Sunday 24th July 2.00 pm in Cyffylliog – Wild Church goes on a pilgrimage. A lovely walk from St Mary’s Cyffylliog to Clocaenog church field followed by a community BBQ at 5.00 pm. It is an easy route and suitable for wheel/push chairs.
Next month continues with fundraisers, seasonal get togethers around our farming traditions, our pets, and summer fun for our young people. Here is a taster.
12th August Teen Screen
14th August Pet blessing ceremony at the end of the Sunday morning service in Llanfair.
21st August Fund raiser – Hymns and Pimms in Llanychan churchyard.
26th August Teens Go Wild
30th August Community BBQ at Llanbedr churchyard to celebrate Lamas – the beginning of the harvest.
