Newsletter for Christ the King

Hi All

I hope everyone is keeping well and safe.
It’s quite busy here in Llanbedr getting ready for Llanbedr Church School’s Christmas Fair in the hall this morning, a taste of what is to come as we gear up for the busy Advent season. I hope that in all the business of the season we all manage to find some quiet time. But before Advent we’ve got Christ the King this Sunday, the final culmination of our church year. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone together in St Peter’s Ruthin tomorrow at 10.30. Unfortunately the Bishop has a cold and when I saw him on Thursday he has lost his voice! This means that we’ll have our Archdeacon Andy Grimwood deputising for him at tomorrows service.

As we move forward towards our new year and Advent 1 next Sunday there’s a good few things coming up…
Next Friday will see Llanbedr lit up in our Pilgrimage of Light as we journey up to the Old Church. We begin outside the new church at 5pm.

On the Saturday we’ve then got Llanarmon’s Christmas fair at 2pm and then a chance to hear the wonderful Voci Choir in concert at St Peter’s Ruthin at 7pm.

On the 3rd of December, the welsh Elvis is back with us and we’re looking forward to hearing him performing Elvis’ Winter Wonderland songs in Llanbedr (some tickets are still available on our website https://dyffrynclwyd.co.uk/eventbrite-event/elviswinterwonderland

On the 4th we will be holding a quiet day led by Venerable Bernard Thomas. We’ll be using the recently re-ordered parish church in St Asaph as a venue. Please let either me or Rev’d Stuart know if you’d like to attend. We’re suggesting a donation of £15 towards the cost of the day which will include lunch.

There’s plenty more coming up, please do read through the newsletter and keep an eye on the Facebook page and the website.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Yours
