Newsletter for Sunday 2nd October 2022

Dear Friends, please find attached the newsletter for this coming Sunday which will be our shared mission area service in St Peter’s Rtuhin 10.30 am for all our churches. Attached are some posters for display of up and coming events, with information about Eco-fest and parking plan, and a Harvest supper at Efenechtyd.

The church treasurers met last week; they are working together to try and find a way through the challenging times all our churches are facing – due to increased costs – this coming winter and for the year ahead. We are blessed in deed by the genorosity of our congregations who support the church through Direct Giving allowing us the claim tax relief on all our giving and adding to the our income.

Please remember in your prayers the meeting of the Mission Area Conference on Thursday 6th October, as they review finances and the plans for mission in Dyffryn Clwyd.

As we say farewell to Rev Stuart Evans at the end of November, after many years of faithful services to the town centre churches, and we move into Advent, we will need to think about Sunday worship patterns. Please hold in your prayers the clergy and shared ministry team at this time, as they continue to serve and support us during the coming months.

THIS SUNDAY 2nd October 10.30am St Peter’s Ruthin for all the congregations of our churches.
We are coming together as a worshipping community to give thanks for the witness and service of the people of the town churches, who will be worshiping as one community from this Sunday.

We ask that as members of the Body of Christ here in Dyffryn Clwyd, we all join together to mark this new era in the life of the mission area and pray for continued renewal and growth in all our churches. As we journey together and seek to bring the Gospel of Christ to all, please support our fellow pilgrims as they face the challenges of the future, secure in the knowledge of our prayers, support, and love.

On 6th October 7.00 pm Llanfair church the Mission Area Conference will meet. Following the Treasurers meeting last week we will have an update on finances and the review of Sunday service patterns and the mission of our churches in Dyffryn Clwyd.
