Dear Friends,
We have moved from our season of Harvest festivals to the Season of the Saints this week as we celebrated All Saints last Sunday and All Souls last night, Wednesday 2nd November in the ancient church of Llanrhydd. I would like to join the many people who attended the evening service in thanking Revs Natasha, Stuart, and John in leading us with prayers and hymns, through the service of remembrance for the Saints who have gone before us, and for our own loved ones that are no longer with us. Lighting a candle, listening to the music and praying for the names that were read out in commemoration was very moving.
Mission in Dyffryn Clwyd – what does that look like?
As we move toward the last few weeks of our time with Rev Stuart here amongst us, we are looking to the future what that might look like. At the last meeting of the Mission Area Conference in October, we began to think about this. Please pray for the future of the Mission Area for the clergy and licensed lay minister who will be working hard to provide the weekly services for us all.
This process of replacing Stuart will get underway quiet quickly, especially when we think about the steps we will need to take to advertise and fill the vacancy Stuart leaves behind.
Pray that with God’s Grace we are open to the guidance and prompting of the Holy Spirit in the weeks ahead as we begin to envisage the future of mission and outreach in Dyffryn Clwyd.
