This week’s newsletter – Sunday 26th March 2023

Dear friends

Welcome to this week’s newsletter, a copy of which is attached along with an array of posters advertising the various events happening throughout Dyffryn Clwyd Mission Area.

Contemporary Worship and Praise at St Peter’s Ruthin

Join us for an exciting contemporary worship and praise service at St Peter’s Church, Ruthin on Sunday 26th March, at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome so please do come along.

Passiontide explanation from Tad Huw Bryant

Please find attached a Word document from Tad Huw explaining our movement into Passiontide. Tad Huw is often asked why we cover all statues, crosses and crucifixes during this period, and hopes the attached explanation will provide you with some answers.

During Holy Week there are services every day throughout the Mission Area which help us to enter the story, but especially in the last three days (known as the Holy Triddum) or Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, we seek to enter more fully the story of our salvation and experience anew the redemption won for us. We would like to encourage you to attend as many of these services as possible, but especially all three days of the Holy Triddum which hang together as one litrugy, one narrative spanning three days that encapsulate the entirety of our Faith and will enable us to enter into the Joy of Easter morning with far more meaning for ourselves and our communities.
