Welcome to this week’s newsletter, a copy of which is attached along with an array of posters advertising the various events happening throughout Dyffryn Clwyd Mission Area. We’re all certainly very busy so here’s a quick snapshot of what’s happening, when and where:

Llanfair DC Parents & Toddler Group

Every Wednesday 10:15am – 11:30am at Llanfair DC Church.

Dementia Friendly Café Cof at Llangynhafal Church

Fortnightly during February (Mondays 13th and 27th February 10.30am –12pm). And from Monday 6th March onwards it will run weekly, again 10.30am –12pm.

A big call out for volunteers!

Choral Evensong at St Peter’s Ruthin on Sunday February 5th, 2023 6pm.

Calling all experienced church choristers. You are cordially invited to sing!

Ash Wednesday 22nd February 2023

Youth Ash Wednesday at St Peter’s, 11am

Join us for craft stations, singing, ashing. All ages welcome, frugal soup lunch.

Quiet Afternoon at Llanfair 2-4pm

Drop in for a quiet, meditative space.

Mass at Llanfwrog, 6pm

Drop in Fridays at St Peter’s Ruthin

Pop in and see us between 9am and 1pm every Friday. Please see poster attached for details.

Ruthin Festival of Choirs, March 2023

It’s a musical March with four fantastic concerts planned! Please see poster attached for dates and details.

Temporary closure of St. Michael and All Angels

Important Notice! Please note, the church and churchyard will be closed from Monday 6th February for approx. two weeks to allow essential maintenance work to take place.

Mission Area Easter Vestry Meeting

An official notice will be published and distributed in due course. However, please note that the Mission Area Easter Vestry Meeting has been schedule for the 27th of April at 7pm in Llanfair Church.

And finally, thank you to all those churches who have made contact with me to support with advertising of events. As we start to think about Lent and Easter, please can I kindly ask all churches to get in touch with me and let me know what you are planning – services, special events, fundraising etc. I will gladly help you with marketing and advertising, such as designing posters, advertising events on the website, social media and PR, and anything else you need!
