Newsletter for 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Hi All

I hope everyone is keeping well and safe.
Please find attached the newsletter for this Sunday.

Everything seems to be in flux again with rules changing all the time as the Covid-19 restrictions are eased. This means there are some changes for us as well –

Streaming – With all our churches back up and running and regular mid-week services we have now stopped streaming our services to Facebook. With so much more happening as we continue to open up along with changes to the way streaming works on Facebook making it harder and harder for clergy and their phones to work it just isn’t sustainable. However for those who can’t make it to church we are now able to start up visiting again so please do let us know who needs a visit and would like home communion.

Booking – While there has been something nice about knowing whose coming to services in advance (and it is very traditional, the 1662 prayer book rubrics insist that everyone should be notifying the priest at least the day before of their intention to receive communion!), we are now going to be stopping this practice. You may have noticed in recent weeks that the website hasn’t always worked, so from now on when you come to church there will be the option to log in with the QR code and the NHS app or to leave your name and contact for track and trace. The reason we are now able to do this is because the rules have changed to allow any 6 people from different households to sit together (bringing is into line with pubs, restaurants, cinemas etc). There will still be 2 metre social distancing between groups.
