Dyffryn Clwyd

Another busy week has flown by, it’s hard to believe this sunday will be the 5th of the Easter season and we’ll soon be heading towards Ascension & Pentecost… 

There’s so much going on and it’s great to see everyone joining in.

Attached this week we’ve got in addition to the newsletter the draft minutes from the Easter Vestry along with the church wardens report and the report I gave on our finances.

In a moment 2 of my 3 kids will be leaving me in peace for the night as they join with others across the MA for our monthly Teen Screen meeting in No.10 Mwrog Street, I think they’re beginning the Divergent series tonight.

Tomorrow’s going to be a busy day with the bring and buy sale in Llanrhydd 10.30-12pm, then on to Llanfair for the afternoon spring fair and parachuting teddies from 2pm-4pm.

Then I hope to see many of you on sunday especially as I’m down for 5 services throughout the day, each one with a different feel and spirituality, it’s such a joy and privilege to be able to partake in such a rich variety of worship.

Next week we have our usual and regular pattern of mid-week worshipped activities to which we add on Saturday a special service where the Bishop will be coming to confirm a group of young people from across our Mission Area at 2pm in Llanfair. Please do come along and support them in this important next step in their journey of faith.

Also this week we are now establishing our new choir, The Dyffryn Clwyd Singers! We had over 20 people come to the taster session and I know a few people couldn’t make it. It’s really heartening to see people from across our churches, and a good number from outside our church community come together to enjoy singing together. We’ll be meeting every Tuesday at 7pm in Llanbedr Church for a 10 week term. We’ll be singing a mixture of sacred and secular which will be chosen by the members of the choir so we’re looking for people to bring their suggestions this Tuesday. The choir will be running on a community choir model, so will cost £20 a person for the term. If you’re interested then come along and give it a go…
