Newsletter for 3rd Sunday of Easter

Hi All

Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

I am happy to say that I am now covid free and had a busy week as I came out of isolation, finally able to join the easter celebrations and catch up.
Last night we held the Easter Vestry meeting where we presented the consolidated accounts of the Mission Area, voted in the new Mission Area Conference who will act as the Trustee’s for all that we have and do in Dyffryn Clwyd.
Your MAC consists of –
Mission Area Wardens – Mair Ansell & Caroline Benett
Church Wardens – Lois Hubbard, Elaine Oldroyd, Richard Hughes, Haf Roberts, Mark Randall, Colin Amesbury, Marion Henshaw, Heledd Rees, Mark Jones, Sue Hanahoe, Ann Hurst, Fiona Calver, Rhian Edwards & Judith Davies.
Co-opted Members – Johnathan Major (as MA Treasurer)
The Clergy – Fr Huw, Rev Stuart, Rev Richard, Rev John Searl, Rev Natasha

To simplify the legal aspects of when we need to get signatures of all the trustee’s (mainly needed for things like banking) we have opted to shorten the list of people registered as legal trustee’s with the charity commission to –
Fr Huw, Rev Richard, Mair Ansell, Caroline Bennett, Jonathan Major & Elaine Oldroyd.
This should make life a lot easier especially for treasurers who find themselves having to collect signatures and information on the trustee’s to comply with the ever tightening legalities of charity banking! This group will act as the executive of the MAC.

In the coming weeks we have, as is becoming usual, quite a lot on for us to come together and enjoy each others company…
Next Saturday, 7th of May we have a plant sale and spring fair in Llanbedr Church yard, 2pm – 4pm, we’re very lucky to have had a huge amount of plants donated for you to come and buy, there’ll also be family activities and face painting.
14th of May we have the Parachuting teddies, 2pm – 4pm in Llandair DC, with stalls and refreshments, so bring your teddies a long to parachute off the tower!
21st of May the Bishop will be coming to Llanfair Church for 2pm to confirm a group of people from across Dyffryn Clwyd, do come along and enjoy this wonderful celebration and support our young people as they take the next exciting step on their journey of faith.

And save the date – Saturday 25th of June, Rev Natasha will be celebrating her 1st Mass in Llanbedr Church at 4pm! Do put the date in your diary and make sure you can come along and join this special celebration of the Eucharist.

We’ve also got a new venture starting, the Dyffryn Clwyd Singers. The idea of this is to bring people together from across our various churches to get to know each other, have fund and maybe do a little singing! So if you enjoy singing (it doesn’t matter if it’s in tune or not!) then come along for our initial taster session, Tuesday 10th of May at 7pm in Llanbedr Church (and maybe a pint in the Griffin after). There’s no plan other than to see whose interested and then it will be up to the group to decide how often we’d like to meet, what we might like to sing, and what events or concerts we might like to do. I’ll be joining up, though my voice isn’t very good I know how singing lifts my heart and I’d love to be able to share in that joy with others. So I hope to see some of you there!

Yours
