Newsletter for the 2nd Sunday before Lent

Sorry, I tried to send this yesterday but for some reasons it didn’t work! Hope it arrives with you all this time!

Hi All

I hope everyone is keeping well and safe with the blustery weather outside… I’m guessing we’ll be a bit down on numbers at Song School this afternoon!
We were lucky it didn’t come earlier as we had a church full of children in Llanbedr yesterday, with years 3-6 from the village primary spending the whole day, joining us for the morning Mass and then spending their time exploring symbols in the church and their meaning. Rev’d Natasha led the day with Tim our musical director for mission steeping in at the end of the day to get the children singing.

There’s a number of things coming up along with our usual weekly things…
It’s last call for anyone wanting to join the Ash Wednesday Quiet Day, please book by next wednesday so we can finalise numbers for food and printing booklets – https://dyffrynclwyd.co.uk/eventbrite-event/ash-wednesday-quiet-day
On the 11th of March you’re invited to join Rev’d Stuart to celebrate his 65th Birthday! With entertainment we hope you’ll come along and raise a glass to Stuart, 65 and still standing! https://dyffrynclwyd.co.uk/eventbrite-event/birthday-bash
And on the 26th of March we’ll be journeying through the stations of the cross, seen through the eyes of the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount and accompanied by the beautiful voices of the Voci Choir in Llanynys Church – https://dyffrynclwyd.co.uk/eventbrite-event/station-of-the-beatitudes

During Lent we will also be following the LyCig course (Leading your Church into Growth). Our hope for this course is with engagement from all our churches we will be thinking through how we will rebuild our churches post-covid and grow both numerically and spiritually. For this to work we need members from all our congregations to join the course which will be held on Zoom on Monday evenings, 7pm-8.30pm starting on the 7th of March. If you’d like to join please email me (tadhuw@hotmail.com) to let me know.

While things seem pretty calm outside my window, I’ll be praying for all those who have been effected by the storm.

Yours
